Documentary “Deep Dive” chosen as official selection in two international film festivals
October 16, 2026INDIANAPOLIS — The FiveCore documentary “Cora Dale: A Rediscovered Harmony” continued its release tour at the Indy Shorts Film Festival in Indianapolis on July 23. The film played before a sold-out crowd as part of the “Indiana Spotlight” series, a showcase of Indiana filmmakers’ work.

“Cora Dale” was directed by Isabel Massud and Silas Immanuel under the guidance of producer Kyle Hufford. It tells the story of local composer Cora Dale, who was active in the 1920s before being sent to a state mental hospital after a breakdown at her mother’s funeral, as well as the story of the Cora Dale House in Goshen.
“I’m so grateful we had the opportunity to tell such an important story,” Massud said. “To see it be received so well by so many audiences is such an honor.”
The film was part of the official selection for the Indy Shorts Film Festival, which ran from July 21-26. The festival is one of 172 short film festivals where winning films qualify for the Academy Awards®.
“Cora Dale” was also shown at the Wild Rivers Film Festival, the Hobnobben Film Festival, Indy Film Fest, the Patrick Lives On Film Showcase, the River Bend Film Festival and won the Best Student Film award at the Victory International Film Festival.
The next festival where “Cora Dale” will be shown is the SCAD Savannah Film Festival on Oct. 29 in Savannah, Georgia, followed by the Orlando Film Festival on Nov. 20 in Orlando, Florida.
